Approximately nine kilograms of marijuana, $5,000 in cash and firearms were seized in an RCMP raid on a residence in Cut Knife Wednesday.
RCMP say the execution of a warrant at the residence came as a result of several months of investigation into marijuana trafficking in the communities surrounding the Battlefords and Cut Knife.
Battlefords Provincial GIS and the Cut Knife Detachment members also seized a variety of items consistent with drug trafficking. The firearms were not stored safely, RCMP say.
Glen Sjoquist, 54,of Cut Knife appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Friday facing charges of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and possessing a firearm while prohibited.
