The Nipawin Hawks keep on rolling as they picked up a 4-2 win over the Yorkton Terriers at home.
The Jan. 30 win pushed the Hawks' regulation unbeaten run to 26 straight games, which has seem them compile a record of 24-0-1-1.
The game got off to a quick start for the black and gold as Josh McDougall buried his 14th goal of the season, giving the Hawks a 1-0 lead just 8:13 into the contest.
After Chantz Petruic got his 14th of the year to draw the game level, Daven Smith responded for the Hawks getting his fourth of the year to give the Hawks a 2-1 lead after one period.
After a three-goal opening period, the two teams calmed down offensively in the second as McDougall scored his second of the game, giving the Hawks a 3-1 lead after two periods.
After Brendan Mark scored to cut the Hawks’ lead to one, Smith scored his second of the night, while shorthanded to put the game away.
Declan Hobbs picked up the win in the Hawks goal, turning aside 33 of the 35 shots he faced as the two teams tied with 35 shots a piece.
The Hawks will look to push their points streak to 27 straight games when they return to action on Feb. 2 for the front half of a home-and-home series with division rival Melfort in Melfort.
