Michael McChesney responded with the lone goal for the Bruins, while Bo Didur allowed three goals on 30 shots for his fourth loss of the playoffs.
Despite picking up the win, the Hawks got off to an ugly start as McChesney beat Hobbs just 2:24 into the opening period.
With the Hawks chasing the game their big guns woke up, thanks in large part to the power play, as Josh McDougall notched his fifth goal of the playoffs less than a minute into the teams first power play, as the Hawks pulled into a 1-1 tie with the Bruins.
After watching the Bruins take their first lead of the game on an early period goal, the Hawks flipped the script in period two, as McCartney beat Didur just 1:33 into the period, giving the Hawks their first lead at 2-1.
The Hawks extended their lead to a pair late in period two, as Gage Misskey beat Didur, and the clock, scoring his second of the playoffs with just five seconds left in the period.
Hobbs and the Hawks defense took over in the third, allowing just four shots as they skated away with the 3-1 win.
Special teams were solid for the Hawks as they held Estevan scoreless on a pair of power plays, while they managed one goal on three opportunities on their own power play.
