No injuries in house fire

There has been a structure fire in the city of North Battleford in the 1100 block of 108th Street. According to Battlefords RCMP and North Battleford Fire, both responded to the fire at around 11:30 p.m. on Monday.

There has been a structure fire in the city of North Battleford in the 1100 block of 108th Street.

According to Battlefords RCMP and North Battleford Fire, both responded to the fire at around 11:30 p.m. on Monday. WPD Ambulance was also on the scene.

According to the fire department, fire crews quickly entered the structure and extinguished the fire, containing it to the main floor suite. Occupants were able to make it out without injuries.

It was not a large fire, according to fire officials. Two apparatus and nine personnel were on the scene of the blaze for about 90 minutes.

Battlefords RCMP has conducted the initial investigation on the scene Wednesday. According to Cpl. Jason Teniuk of the Battlefords detachment, the fire is deemed suspicious in nature.

The investigation is still ongoing by the RCMP to make a determination as to exactly what happened, and also to determine whether charges will be laid.

The estimated dollar amount of property damage is not known at this time.
