City officials and the real estate and business sectors are touting the development of 40-plus lots in North Kildeer as positive news for the community.
Mayor Ian Hamilton was among those who participated on May 11 in an organized sod-turning ceremony for the project in North Kildeer.
The plan, according to officials, is for new single-family dwellings as well as some condominium duplexes and town houses to go there. The development is being spearheaded by Calgary-based developers.
It was touted by the mayor as the first new development in Kildeer in a while. “This has not been available to the citizens of North Battleford or the surrounding area in a number of years,” said Hamilton at the groundbreaking.
The mayor also called the development important to “future growth” for the city.
