Biggar RCMP Detachment is investigating a fatal off road vehicle accident which occurred at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, Aug.15 just south of Highway 14 in the Biggar area. One young adult male, the driver, was deceased on scene. RCMP says the 20-year-old man was from the Biggar district.
RCMP says three males aged 17 to 20 were riding in an off road side by side vehicle. It appears the off road side by side vehicle rolled. One was ejected. The deceased and the other male remained in the vehicle when it rolled. None of the occupants were wearing helmets.
Alcohol containers were found on scene.
Both passengers were transported to Royal University Hospital. As of Sunday afternoon,one had been discharged while the other remained for more observation in stable condition.
An RCMP collision analyst attended has attended the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
