Battlefords RuralRCMP responded to a fatal two vehicle collision approximately 1.5 kilometres west of Delmas at 3:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20.
The collision occurredwhen a pickup truck traveling eastbound on Highway 16 struck apassenger car crossing the highwaytraveling southbound ona secondary gridroad.
Thedriver of the car, an elderlymale, waspronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, an adultfemale,was uninjured in the crash.A secondpassenger in the truck, an adultmale, sustainedminor injuries.
North Battleford Fire Department also attended, with one apparatus and four personnel attended on the scene about 24 minutes.
Eastbound traffic was reduced to one lane of travel while Battleford RuralRCMP investigated the collision.The RCMP trafficservices collision reconstruction teamassisted.
