Wallace Fox, chief of Onion Lake First Nation, is facing several charges stemming from a complaint lodged May 18 with Onion Lake RCMP.
RCMP say they were advised of an assault that occurred at a private residence on Onion Lake First Nation.
As a result of an ongoing investigation Fox, 54, was arrested Monday, Oct. 26 and charged with two counts of assault, possession of a knife for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats to damage property.
He will appear in Onion Lake Provincial Court Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m.
