Onion Lake RCMP have arrested an attempted murder suspect wanted on a warrant.
Saskatchewan RCMP reports that on Sept. 13 at approximately 1 p.m. Onion Lake RCMP located a suspect vehicle linked to an ongoing attempted murder investigation originating in Edmonton.
The vehicle was located at a residence in the Harlan Road area of Onion Lake.
At approximately 2:15 p.m. Mustafe Rashid, a 29-year-old man, was taken into custody without incident by members of Onion Lake, Turtleford, and Maidstone Detachments.
At this time, no charges are being laid by Onion Lake Detachment and Edmonton Police Service will continue to lead the investigation, says a release from Saskatchewan RCMP.
