Battleford RCMP responded to 67 calls for service between Wednesday, Sept. 14 and Thursday, Sept. 15.
Wednesday, Sept. 14
6:07 a.m. - Report of vehicle stolen from Maher Drive residence in North Battleford overnight.
6:19 a.m. - OnStar provided location of vehicle reported stolen the previous night and had incapacitated the ignition. Vehicle recovered and examined for evidence by Forensic Identification Section, results of exam pending and investigation continuing.
7:32 a.m. - Report of assault suspect driving while impaired around Red Pheasant First Nation. Patrols unable to locate the vehicle or suspect at that time.
8:45 a.m. - Complaint of theft of a motor vehicle. Further details revealed the vehicle in question was loaned to a person the owner was in a relationship with, and not returned at the agreed upon time. Explained to complainant that it was not really a theft if the keys were willingly given to the person who currently has it.
10:35 a.m. - Report of a break, enter and theft on the 1000 block of 113th Street in North Battleford. A brazen crime as it occurred while the homeowners were working in their back yard.
13:18 p.m. - Complaint of an historical sexual assault, investigation ongoing.
15:37 p.m. - Complaint of an assault on a student by another student, resulting in minor injury, investigation ongoing.
17:21 p.m. - Complaint of fraud where complainant approached by stranger claiming to be a relative and asking that a cheque be cashed on their behalf.
20:45 p.m. - Complaint of assault at Moosomin First Nation, investigation ongoing.
23:28 p.m. - Complaint of theft of truck from Mosquito First Nation.
Thursday, Sept. 15
1:54 a.m. - Complaint of attempted theft from a motor vehicle on the 1100 block of 109th Street in North Battleford. Vehicle alarm scared culprits off after gaining entry.
Police also responded to four false/nuisance 911 calls, 15 minor disturbance reports, one alarm, four Mental Health Act complaints, 13 traffic investigations, three minor property damage complaints, six subjects who was arrested for alcohol related offences, five breach of conditions and five minor theft/shoplifting complaints.
