Due to the high organics and turbidity currently in the North Saskatchewan River, the F.E. Holliday Water Treatment Plant is not fully operating, according to a City of North Battleford advisory.

The City has placed a ban on all outdoor watering until further notice.

The outdoor watering ban is merely a precautionm, because there is a slow-down in the treatment and production of potable water due to the high amount of organics and turbidity in the river, the advisory states.

The quality of the drinking water is not compromised.
