When a pot is left simmering on the stove, it's a good idea to stick around to see how it turns out. No one was home when North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services responded to an alarm at 1581 - 104th St. Monday just after noon.

When a pot is left simmering on the stove, it's a good idea to stick around to see how it turns out.

No one was home when North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services responded to an alarm at 1581 - 104th St. Monday just after noon.

Burning food set off the alarm, as firefighters found an unattended pot on the stove. Personnel stayed on the scene for about 25 minutes to ventilate the home.
