Cecile Hunt, chief executive officer of the Prince Albert Parkland Health, announced the appointment of Cheryl Elliott as the new vice-president of finance.

"Cheryl has a strong financial background and has been a valuable member of the Health Region's financial team for more than a decade," Hunt said.

Elliott assumed the role Sept. 12. Elliott is a charted accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Saskatchewan. "I've enjoyed my work in the region for the past 10 years, and I'm looking forward to the new challenges of leading the Finance portfolio, working with the senior management team and providing support for the Region's managers and staff," Elliott said.

Prior to joining the health region, Elliott worked at Meyer Norris Penney (formerly Woodhouse, Tucker & Partners Chartered Accountants).
