Brenda Sparrow, chair of Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation's board of directors has announced that G & C Asphalt Ltd. continues to support BUHF's Ladies' Night as the gold sponsor.
"This will be the fifth year G & C Asphalt Ltd. has supported the ladies' night event through their sponsorship and it is a pleasure to work with an organization that is known for their commitment to the well being of their community and families," noted Sparrow. "We are grateful for their continued support.
According to a BUHF press release, G & C Asphalt Ltd., North Battleford started as a small paving/aggregate company 30 years ago and, through their reputation for quality work, have grown into an organization that has operations going on in communities all throughout the northwest and with Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways. The release states, G & C Asphalt Ltd. was built on the idea that success needs to be shared and they have carried on that belief throughout the years and are recognized for the support they provide the communities they operate in.
According to the foundation, BUHF's Ladies' Night has grown to be a popular evening and in light of this it was decided to make it a stand alone event.
"An Evening in Paradise" ladies' night is set to take place Friday, Nov. 1.at Gold Ridge Centre.
There will be wine tasting, savoury appetizers compliments of Frazer and Jennifer Bonin of No Frills followed by dinner. The delicious desserts will be catered through Second to None Catering. Fundraising efforts will be supported through silent auctions, raffles, a diamond dig, courtesy of Zeke's Jewellers, as well as many other opportunities to take home that "special" something through live auction packages, with Kramer Auction Services officiating.
Meagan Toews of O Liv Photography is the ladies' night official photographer, and will capture the fun of the evening. Ladies will finish the night dancing with music and a light show provided by Core Sound DJ Services.
BUHF acknowledges the talented, hard working and dedicated Ladies' Night chairs Debbie Wohlberg and Joelle Kuntz for their work.
Proceeds from the event will aid purchase of a new $550,000 digital fluoroscopy unit for BUH's x-ray department.
