Paving program for Humboldt roadways to begin

HUMBOLDT — A program to pave six roadways within the City of Humboldt is about to begin. The city’s 2020 paving program will start Tuesday, Sept. 8, with the tentative starting location being 101st Street from Saskatchewan Avenue to Second Avenue.

HUMBOLDT — A program to pave six roadways within the City of Humboldt is about to begin.

The city’s 2020 paving program will start Tuesday, Sept. 8, with the tentative starting location being 101st Street from Saskatchewan Avenue to Second Avenue.

The other locations scheduled are:

  • Saskatchewan Avenue from 101st Street to Third Street
  • Seventh Street from Fifth Avenue to Eighth Avenue
  • Seventh Avenue from Sixth Street to Seventh Street
  • Sixth Avenue from Seventh Street to the back lane west of Seventh Street
  • Stebbings Crescent

“Each street will be closed while the contractor preps and paves the roadway.  This work should take between three days to one week for each location,” said a release from the city.

“The entire project is anticipated to take approximately three weeks to complete.”

The city is asking motorists to obey all signs and proceed with caution while diving through work zones.
