Police seeking suspect in fatal shooting

RCMP are still asking the public's assistance in locating for a man in connection to a fatal shooting at Little Pine First Nation. Police are seeking 40-year-old Sheldon Kyle Thunderblanket in relation to the incident.

RCMP are still asking the public's assistance in locating  for a man in connection to a fatal shooting at Little Pine First Nation.

Police are seeking 40-year-old Sheldon Kyle Thunderblanket in relation to the incident. He is described as an aboriginal male, 5’6” tall, 209 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

Cut Knife RCMP report they received a call just before midnight Monday of a firearm being discharged inside a residence on Little Pine First Nation.

Upon arrival by police, two individuals were found injured inside the residence.

One adult was pronounced dead at the scene while the other adult was transported to hospital with what are described as serious injuries. Police are releasing not further details about the victims at this time.

Police report Thunderblanket may be armed and say he he is considered dangerous. Police say he may be on Sweetgrass First Nation, but this has not been confirmed.

RCMP advise the public from approaching Thunderblanket, but to contact police immediately by dialing 911.
