PRAIRIE RIVER — A Prairie River resident won $200,000 from a Lucky Lines Extravaganza Scratch ‘N Win ticket.

Twyla Litton had a good chuckle when telling her husband about the win.

“My husband and I were texting about buying potatoes right before I scanned the ticket,” said the winner. “I called him after discovering we won and left a voicemail telling him the good news.”

“I guess he didn’t listen to the message because he responded to my text saying, ‘Just one bag of potatoes,’” she continued. “The response was hilarious to me, because I thought he was responding to the lottery win.”

Now that Litton and her husband are past their initial miscommunication, she has started thinking about what to do with her windfall.

“I think the goal is to just be more comfortable financially,” she said. “We’re going to share with our kids, pay some bills and invest the rest.”

The winner purchased her winning ticket at the Parkland Co-op in Hudson Bay.
