Preliminary hearing set for man charged with violent home invasion near Edam

A man charged in connection to a violent home invasion north of Edam in January 2018 appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Jan. 31 via CCTV from Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre. 

Fraser Littlewolfe, 29, of Thunderchild First Nation is charged with break, enter and commit robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise and forcible confinement. 

Littlewolfe elected to be tried by judge alone and a one-day preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 14 in Battleford Court of Queen’s Bench. Crown Prosecutor Chris Browne said two witnesses are expected to be called to testify. A pre-trial conference is set for March 27. 

Littlewolfe’s co-accused, Joel Daniel Dillon, 25, of Onion Lake, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five years in prison for break and enter to commit robbery, forcible confinement and wearing a disguise.
