Prince Albert man charged with making, possessing child porn

Troy Lester was arrested by Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit

PRINCE ALBERT – A 53-year-old Prince Albert man has been charged with making and possessing child pornography.

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit arrested Troy Lester on June 30 after investigators with Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Prince Albert Police Service patrol officers executed a search warrant at a home, which had been identified where the offences were occurring. 

Lester was remanded into custody and will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on July 18. The charges against him haven’t been proven in court.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
