Pruning happening May 10

The city of North Battleford is advising residents that back alley pruning will commence May 10 in the following areas:

All back alleys from 100th Street and east of 100th Street to Territorial Drive as well as Railway Avenue east from 100th Street to Territorial Drive.

Contractors will move through alleys to remove trees and clear overgrowth along fence lines, so emergency services, public works equipment, contractors and service providerscan  have access to the service corridors in these areas. Any trees, shrubs, or overgrowth outside of fenced areas will be removed; tree and shrub heights extending from private yards that cannot be completely cut back will be pruned to 15 feet.

Signs will be placed at alley entrances to indicate the alley is closed to all pedestrian and vehicular traffic until work is completed.
