Pumping the pedals for a cause

On June 16, the Saskatchewan Corrections Charity Bike Riders rode for the 13th time, raising money for charity.

A group of Saskatchewan Corrections employees have organized a bike ride for charity for the last 13 years. This year, The BUH Foundation received just under $1,500 for cardiac monitors for the emergency room. On June 16, the Saskatchewan Corrections Charity Bike Riders rode for the 13th time, raising money for charity.

For the third consecutive year, riders from North Battleford took part in the ride, which raised $1,492 for cardiac monitors at the Battlefords Union Hospital. The ride took them from Saskatoon to Radisson and back, totalling around 130 kilometres.

The Saskatchewan Corrections Charity Bike Riders is a group of law enforcement agents and invited guests from all over Saskatchewan who organize and participate in charity bike rides. Over the years, they have raised money for the Battlefords Food Bank and the Saskatchewan Children's Hospital Foundation.
