Rash of vehicle break-ins

Between 6 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29 and 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, Battlefords RCMP responded to just under 20 calls for service. Among those calls were two false alarms and one nuiscance/false 911 call. Sunday 9:12 a.m.

Between 6 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29 and 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, Battlefords RCMP responded to just under 20 calls for service.

Sunday

9:12 a.m. - Vehicle parked on 97th Street overnight broken into. Some cash stolen and items rummaged through.

10:53 a.m. - 911 call of fight/argument at a residence on 109th Street. Matter mediated by members. No arrests made or charges pending.

11:05 a.m. - Hit and run to a parked vehicle on 1600 block of 106th Street sometime overnight. Suspect vehicle left behind debris, including a green bumper and an Oldsmobile logo.

12:11 p.m. - Vehicle parked on 97th Street broken into overnight. Wallet reported stolen.

3:27 p.m. - Vehicle parked on Kramer Place broken into overnight and rummaged through.

4:16 p.m. - Vehicle parked on Pearson Avenue broken into overnight. Damage to window.

8:41 p.m. - Report of an assault at a business. Both persons involved, who wereshopping at the time of the incident,contacted police accusing the other of assault. Investigation in ongoing. No arrests made or charges laid at this time.

Monday

5:01 a.m. - Report of suspicious persons on 113th Avenue looking into vehicles. Patrols negative.

5:38 a.m. - Intoxicated man calling police to report his friend stole his television.
