Battlefords RCMP are seeking more information about two firearms incidents that took place this past weekend in North Battleford. One of the incidents took place on Sunday morning, March 13, on the 1600 block of 104th Street.

Battlefords RCMP are seeking more information about two firearms incidents that took place this past weekend in North Battleford.

One of the incidents took place on Sunday morning, March 13, on the 1600 block of 104th Street.  

Police say they were called to the residence shortly before 4 a.m. in response to a man suffering a single gunshot wound to his left leg.

According to police, the victim, 22 years old, was transported to hospital with a suspected gunshot injury. He remains in hospital but was expected to make a full recovery. Several witnesses were interviewed and police continue their investigation. At this time, no suspects have been positively identified.

The other incident happened on the 800 block of 111th Street, where it is suspected a house struck by several rounds from a firearm at approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday, March 13.

Police were called to the scene after a witness heard several gunshots. No one was home at the time, and police confirm the home was hit by more than one round. The matter remains under investigation.

Police say it is unknown at this time if the two incidents in question are related.
