PELICAN NARROWS — RCMP say they are investigating a homicide in Pelican Narrows.
On Aug. 16, around 8 a.m., Pelican Narrows RCMP responded to a report of a serious injury by firearm on Kaskew Crescent. An 18-year-old male from Pelican Narrows was transported to the local health clinic by members of the public and pronounced deceased shortly after. His family has been notified, say RCMP, and an autopsy will take place Aug. 18 in Saskatoon.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, supported by RCMP Historical Case Unit police officers, are investigating with the assistance of Pelican Narrows RCMP and RCMP Forensic Identification Section.
Investigators say they do not believe there is an increased safety risk at this time. Should this change, they will notify the public immediately.
