A ceremony was held Dec. 10 to recognize the graduates of North West Regional College's Battlefords Campus hairstylist program.

Family, friends, and dignitaries gathered at the Chapel Gallery in North Battleford to celebrate the achievements of the 11 program graduates. These students completed 1,500 hours of training accredited by the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (SIAST) and are now prepared to apprentice towards journeyperson status.

North West Regional College delivers the hairstylist training at its Battlefords Campus and 12 students will begin the program in January.

"Students receive superior instruction from highly qualified college staff in the classroom and from the dedicated professionals that provide the practical training in the community," a press release from NWRC states.
