Recovered stolen property in Blaine Lake

Danton Dumont, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and the Kindersley detachment charged him with theft over $5,000. Danton is accused by police of being responsible for numerous thefts in both Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Blaine Lake RCMP obtained a search warrant for his home Sunday and as a result seized two stolen vehicles and a large number of stolen building materials. Also a small amount of hydromorphone and methamphetamine was also seized. The value of the items seized was estimated at $25,000.

Police say the further investigation was able to produce information concerning the whereabouts of a skid steer construction vehicle stolen from the Kindersley area, valued at $20,000. It was later recovered in the High River, Alta. area.

RCMP are still actively investigating the whereabouts of other vehicles reported stolen or not yet recovered. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact their local RCMP detachment, police service or Crime Stoppers.
