Shannon Konanz and six of her co-workers were thrilled to find they’d won $100,010 together on the April 17 EXTRA draw.
“I checked the ticket on the mobile app,” said Konanz. “I took a screenshot and sent it to the rest of the group, wishing them all a Happy Easter at the same time.”
“Bob responded to the text without seeing the screenshot,” she continued. “The next day someone else mentioned the screenshot – everyone was so happy!”
Konanz said the co-workers have played the lottery together for a few years. The winning group – which includes members Konanz, Robert Habermehl, Jason Stephen, Alan Kosloski, Grant Radons, Thomas Davey and Ken Luu—said they have similar plans for their $14,287.14 share of the prize.
“I think most of us are going to put the money into savings,” said Konanz. “It’s a really nice bonus for everyone.”
Konanz purchased the group’s winning LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA ticket at Golden Prairie Confections, located at 3737 Wascana Parkway, College West, in Regina.
The winning EXTRA number on April 17 was 3439983. The group won $100,000 by matching the last six EXTRA digits in order, and they won an additional $10 LOTTO 6/49 prize.
