Report of shots being fired along 104th Street

Battlefords RCMP responded to 65 calls for service between 6 a.m. Aug. 18 and 6 a.m. Aug. 19. There were two complaints of abandoned vehicles in North Battleford over the course of the day. Aug. 19 6:48 a.m.

Battlefords RCMP responded to 65 calls for service between 6 a.m. Aug. 18 and 6 a.m. Aug. 19.

There were two complaints of abandoned vehicles in North Battleford over the course of the day.  

Aug. 19

6:48 a.m. - Complaint of a mischief to vehicles on Campbell Crescent. Police attended, however no suspects located.

7:48 a.m. - Complaint about a black Chevrolet Colorado quarter-ton truck. Last seen on Douglas Avenue. Matter is still under investigation.

9:01 a.m. - Complaint of fraud at a business on Railway Avenue. Matter is still under investigation.

11:14 a.m. - Complaint from a hotel in North Battleford of a disturbance. Police attended, however upon arrival the suspect had already left without issue.

Noon - Complaint of harassment on Panton Avenue. Matter is still under investigation.

2:00 p.m. - Complaint of a break and enter to a residence on the 800 block of 110th. Matter is still under investigation.

1:20 p.m. - Complaint of a disturbance on the Sweetgrass First Nation.

2:45 p.m. - Complaint from a restaurant in Battleford, stating there is a patron who does not have money to pay for their meal.

4:45 - Request to assist Social Services at a residence on the Sweetgrass First Nation.

5:00 p.m. - Complaint of a disturbance at the fair grounds.  Matter investigated and found to be unfounded.

5:33 p.m. - Complaint of bear mace being sprayed at people on 107th Street. Suspects have been identified and the matter is still under investigation.

6:00 p.m. - Complaint of disturbance on the 1400 block of 100th Street. Police attended, the matter was determined to be civil in nature and resolved without issue.

7:54 p.m. - Complaint of a stolen purple Ford Focus driving along 16th Avenue at a high rate of speed. The Focus was later recovered. Matter is still under investigation.

8:11 p.m. - Police conducted a traffic stop on 105th Street, where a youth was located with warrants of arrest. The youth was arrested, and the matter is still being investigated.

8:20 p.m. - Complaint of a disturbance between family members in a residence on the Saulteaux First Nation. Matter was resolved without issue.

9:29 - Complaint of shots being fired along 104th Street. Matter is still under investigation.

10 p.m. - Complaint of harassment along Panton Avenue. Matter is still under investigation.

10:07 p.m. - Requested to assist the Mental Health Unit with a disturbance. Police attended and the matter was resolved without issue.

10:30 p.m. - Complaint of car shoppers along St. Laurent Drive.

10:35 - Complaint of a hit and run on the 1800 block 101st Street. Matter still under investigation.

10:50 p.m. - Request to assist WMD Ambulance with a violent individual suffering from mental health issues. Police attended and the individual calmed. No other issues arose.

11:11 p.m. - Police conducted a traffic stop on 105th Street, where a youth was located with warrants of arrest. The youth was arrested, and the matter is still being investigated.

11:15 p.m. - Complaint of a baby crying along the 1800 block of St. Laurent. Police attended, however nothing suspicious or concerning located.

11:49 - Complaint of assault in the RM of Round Hill. Matter is still under investigation.

Aug. 19

12.15 a.m. - Complaint of a missing youth.  A gifteen-year-old was later located.

Police also responded to: three complaints of false alarms, seven complaints of intoxicated persons and four motor vehicle complaints.
