Rider Pride still alive in Battlefords

It’s been a rough season for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in more ways than one.

It’s been a rough season for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in more ways than one. Not only are they off to an 0-8 start, but the two Riders players scheduled to be at the Territorial Co-op Mall for an autograph session Sunday – Terrell Mays and Macho Harris – were delayed by a couple of hours.

Still, it didn’t stop the loyal members of Rider Nation in the Battlefords from showing up and waiting in line to meet their heroes.

Also there were several local personalities taking part in the Watermelon Helmet carving contest, including Glen Gantefoer, Discovery Co-op human resources manager, Mayor Derek Mahon of Battleford, North Battleford City Manager Jim Puffalt, and Erin Katerynych of Battlefords Food and Resource Centre.
