A single vehicle rollover has claimed the life of a 33-year-old woman from the Red Pheasant First Nation.
The rollover happened in the late evening of Dec. 22 on a grid road in the RM of Buffalo south of the Battlefords. According to the RCMP, five people were occupying the vehicle. The other four occupants were 14-year-old and 15-year-old girls from Red Pheasant, a 15-year-old girl from Saskatoon and a 34-year-old woman from Saskatoon.
According to WPD Ambulance, the 34-year-old was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital in serious condition, while the three youths were transported in stable condition.
Names have not been released. Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors, according to police. The matter remains under investigation by the RCMP.
