Roomate locked out over rent dispute

Between 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 25 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 20 calls for service/occurrences. Among those were two alarms, both false. Three false/nuisance 911 calls were also recorded. Tuesday 8:03 a.

Between 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 25 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 20 calls for service/occurrences.


Among those were two alarms, both false. Three false/nuisance 911 calls were also recorded.


Tuesday


8:03 a.m. - Vehicle parked overnight on 1600 block of St. Laurent Drive entered and gone through.


5:19 p.m. - 14-year-old reported missing. Frequent recent history of similar issues. Located by members at a residence and returned home.


5:34 p.m. - Members called to a residential alarm on 104th street, person on site advising there is a break and enter in progress. Investigation showed no break and enter, two roommates having a disagreement about rent and one subject had to crawl through a window when they were locked out.


8:05 p.m. - Report of a fight on Carlton Trail. Both parties separated. No charges pursued as investigation shown subjects engaged in consensual fight.


9:44 p.m. - Report of several youth on the roof of a house on 103rd Street throwing things at a car. Perpetrators not located.


1:05 a.m. - Two youth, both age 13, reported missing from youth care home. RCMP report both have since been located.


1:38 a.m. - North Battleford RCMP are investigating an assault with a weapon reported in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 26. A man was assaulted by several individuals at a home on the 1400 block of 111th Street. The perpetrators then fled the area. Members, with the assistance of the Police Dog Unit, completed a thorough search of the area, and one 18-year-old man was arrested and currently remains in custody. The victim is currently being treated in hospital with a suspected stab wound to the torso, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The investigation is ongoing.
