Scott Moe, Saskatchewan Party MLA for the Rosthern-Shellbrook constituency, held a series of town visits recently as part of his constituency tour.

The tour was included in Scott's mandate during the campaign promise to make himself accessible to his constituents. By offering a mobile office service a few times per year throughout the constituency, individuals are able to visit with Scott on a one-on-one basis about issues, challenges or concerns affecting their lives or community.

Some key issues brought forward in Blaine Lake included retaining doctors, reinstating weekly lab services, rural business retention and expansion, the lack of skills-based labour, business succession planning options and the increased value of maintaining our agricultural industry.

In attendance to assist Scott were Sally Gunderson, constituency assistant, and Elliott Bourgeault. Bourgeault is with the Saskatchewan legislative internship program that operates from January through to July. Interns have an opportunity to spend three months learning the political facets with a government MLA; then the next three months will be spent following in the steps of the opposition.

Scott Moe presented himself in the communities of Blaine Lake, Feb. 2, Rosthern Feb. 3, Hafford Feb. 6 and Spiritwood Feb. 7.
