It was a routine evening at Battleford town council Monday as a number of items were unanimously passed. One resolution was for a land exchange and development agreement with developer Leading Manufacturing Groups Holdings Inc. of Lisku, Alta.

It was a routine evening at Battleford town council Monday as a number of items were unanimously passed.

One resolution was for a land exchange and development agreement with developer Leading Manufacturing Groups Holdings Inc. of Lisku, Alta. The transfer involves six parcels of land near 18th and 20th Streets and is to zoned as M-Industrial.

Approved was a highway change order from AECOM to remove a culvert from the Highway 4 twinning project. The change order is valued at $73,920 bringing the revised contract price for the project to $7,652034.70.

Also approved was a natural gas service request from SaskEnergy to 32 lots for Battle Springs Phase 3.

A temporary lane closure was passed to allow a tree performance from Grow an Artist: Live in a Tree, a performance to be held Sunday, June 24 from 9 to 10 p.m. The road closure is along 35th Street between 2nd Avenue and 30th Street.

The Battlefords Quarter Horse Club was approved for a parade permit for their Cowboy Christmas Parade, which will run from Fort Battleford and go back and forth down 22nd Street Nov. 3.

Four new street lights were approved for the Highway 40 bridge and the Highway 4 bridge over the Battle River. The construction charge, including tax, comes to $28,321.58.

Discretionary use applications were passed for Twin River Concrete's sand and gravel operation at 602 - 6th Ave. in the industrial district, and for David Graw's application for a single detached dwelling in a restricted development district.

A tender was awarded to Tree World Nursery for $19,907 for concrete curbing in Battle Springs Park. Also, Hardy Plant Nursery was awarded the tender for $17,850 for landscaping of the water treatment plant.

Several bylaws were also passed at the meeting.

A street closure includes part of 19th Street, part of 7th Avenue between 18th and 20th Street, portions of 17th Street and 16th Street, and a portion of 7th Avenue south of 18th Street and north of 16th Street.

An agreement with G.L.M. Industries L.P. establishes a storage site.

An agreement with SaskPower provides easement of right of way to install urban electrical distribution for the Battleford West Properties Ltd. subdivision.
