North Battleford city councillors are again voicing concern over the seeming snails' pace of repairs at a fire-damaged car wash on 100th Street.
The north-end property, located between Aaron's and A&W, was spared the City's wrecking ball in November after owners paid back taxes and pledged to get started on cleanup work and renovations at the site. The building was damaged by fire last June and has been in disrepair since then.
However, councillors have continued to voice criticism about the lagging pace of repairs at the building since then.
The issue was raised again Monday night by Councillor Don Buglas.
"Some of the exterior work that the person was supposed to have in place by now, from my understanding (it) was by now, hasn't really appeared to have taken place," said Buglas.
Building inspector Jerry Wintonyk responded Monday night that he had no correspondence with the owners, but Wintonyk did confirm the owner had previously pledged to start the renovations in the first part of March.
He said he would follow up with them "right away."
