A Saskatoon man facing child porn charges had another court appearance Nov. 9 but the matter was adjourned.
John P. Malsi, 22, is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of distributing child pornography.
Malsi was arrested after the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit searched his Saskatoon home June 18 and found child porn. They seized two mobile phones for further forensic analysis.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is made up of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. They investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
Police say Malsi allegedly distributed child porn through a popular social media platform.
The charges against Malsi haven’t been proven in court.
Malsi is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Nov. 30 to elect how he wants to be tried.
