Saskatoon police charge protestor under the health act

The Saskatoon Police Service has laid its first charge under The Public Health Act, 1994 . Last weekend, police received several complaints regarding a group of people that had attended to several downtown businesses to protest the wearing of masks.

The Saskatoon Police Service has laid its first charge under The Public Health Act, 1994.

Last weekend, police received several complaints regarding a group of people that had attended to several downtown businesses to protest the wearing of masks. In consultation with Public Health Inspectors, Police have issued a $2,800 fine to one of the key participants under The Public Health Act, 1994

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
