SaskTel and employees from North Battleford and District participating in TelCare, the Crown Corporation's Employee Donation Benevolent Fund, are donating $15,195.00 to 14 organizations this year.

Organizations benefitting from this donation include Alzheimer Association of Saskatchewan, Arthritis Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation and Battlefords Humane Society. Other beneficiaries include Jack Kemp Community School, The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Kids First North, Macklin and District Health Foundation, MS Society of Canada - Saskatchewan Division, Parkinson Society Saskatchewan Inc., Meadow Lake Salvation Army and Lloydminister and North Battleford United Ways.

Saskatchewan TelCare is a volunteer organization of SaskTel employees who contribute donations through an automatic payroll deduction. SaskTel donates 50 cents for every dollar employees contribute through TelCare. Across the province, the TelCare program will contribute approximately $279,735 to Saskatchewan non-profit organizations in 2012.

"We are very proud of our employees who have continued to show their generosity for over 62 years with both their time and money," said Ron Styles, SaskTel president and CEO. "TelCare is another great example of how SaskTel and our employees contribute to the overall quality of life in Saskatchewan communities."

SaskTel TelCare was established in 1950 and has been strongly supported by SaskTel and their employees ever since. Each year TelCare members vote to determine which organizations will receive TelCare funds.
