Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 26 calls for service between Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10.
Monday
• A blue 1987 Volvo 240/244 with Saskatchewan licence plate 885 JNX was stolen from the 1400 block of 100 Street overnight. If you see this vehicle, do not approach it, and contact North Battleford RCMP.
• There was a motor vehicle collision on the corner of 110th Street and 10th Avenue at 8:07 a.m. No one was injured, but one of the vehicles had to be towed from the intersection.
• A school liaison officer was making patrols at 10:17 a.m. and located four youth who were walking down the road during school hours. He picked up the youth and transported them back to their school.
• At 2:35 p.m. someone reported there was an intoxicated man putting fuel in a vehicle with a jerry can and was concerned that the man might try to drive away in that condition. The vehicle was parked on the 1400 block of 112th Street and it was later discovered to be an unregistered vehicle. The man was arrested for public intoxication and released when he was sober.
• An adult woman drove a vehicle into the exterior wall of a business on Railway Avenue East. There was damage to the building, but no injuries were reported.
• A business on the 900 block of 103rd Street reported at 5:30 p.m. that there were two intoxicated men who were passed out at their establishment and they wanted to have them removed. Officers attended and both men, ages 46 and 48, were on conditions to abstain from alcohol. They were both arrested and charged with breach of undertaking.
• At 7:55 p.m., officers received a complaint of an altercation between two men on the 1100 block of 101st Street. Officers located a 26-year-old man at that location, who was intoxicated and matched the description provided by the complainant. The man had a probation order with conditions to keep the peace and to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. He was charged with breaching those conditions. He was released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
Officers responded to five other complaints involving intoxicated persons, two disturbances, one child welfare complaint, two Mental Health Act complaints, three minor collisions, three traffic complaints, three nuisance 911 calls, and one false alarm.
