An RCMP member died in a collision involving a moose near Wilkie early Friday Morning.
Wilkie RCMP say Cst. Derek Pineo, 38, was declared dead at the scene of the crash, approximately seven kilometers west of Wilkie.
Pineo, who joined the force in August of 2007, has family in Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia.
A regimental funeralfor Pineo will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Evergreen Center in Nipawin.
There will also be a memorial/interment at the Anglican Church in Fall River, N.S. Sunday, July 29 at 2 p.m.
