Seven damaged vehicles may be related complaints

Over 40 calls for service/occurrences were reported to North Battleford RCMP between 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 23 and 6 a.m. Thursday, July 24, including four traffic complaint/occurrences, two false/nuisance 911 calls, three municipal bylaw/noise complaints and three false alarms.


Wednesday


7:41 a.m. - First of seven of what are believed to be related complaints of damage to vehicles. Suspect(s) damaged the windows to several parked cars at numerous locations in the city, including Walker Drive, 2100 block of 101st Crescent, Bowers Drive, two on 19th Avenue, 2000 block of 101st Crescent and the 1500 block of 91st Street. Suspect described as a tall, thin young adult or teen male driving a red pickup truck with a loud exhaust. Investigation ongoing.


10:50 a.m. - Shoplifting complaint from a business in the early morning hours of the 23rd reported. Suspect has been identified and charges are currently pending.


1:13 p.m. - Report of a break and enter to a residence on Winder Crescent between noon and 1 p.m. on this date. TV among items reported stolen.


1:35 p.m. - Report of an emotionally disturbed person under influence of narcotics in area of 18th Avenue. 37-year-old woman located and taken into custody.


2:00 p.m. - Hit and run to a vehicle parked on 1400 block of 108th Street between midnight and time of complaint. Suspect vehicle believed to be red in colour.


3:40 p.m. - Two vehicle collision on Highway 16 bypass. No injuries, collision between a semi and a pickup which sideswiped each other. Cause remains under investigation and charges under the Traffic Safety Act are pending.


4:25 p.m. - Report of an assault on 107th Street. A 43-year-old male is facing one count of assault and is expected to make his first appearance in court on Thursday July 24 at 9:30 a.m.


5:07 p.m. - Cell phone reported stolen from a business on 101st Street.


5:33 p.m. - A 45-year-old male and a 53-year-old female arrested for being drunk in public after a complaint of two intoxicated persons on 101st Street.


7:57 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated male on 107th Street, reported to be yelling at people and running all over the place. Patrols of area for subject negative.


8:25 p.m. - Unwanted intoxicated male refusing to leave a residence on 105th Street. Subject located a short distance away. 53-year-old man arrested for public intoxication and held in custody until sober.


8:28 p.m. - Report of a damaged window to an apartment building's main door.  Complainant was very intoxicated and investigation has revealed he likely committed the damage himself while returning home.


8:34 p.m. - A 50-year-old man arrested and facing a charge of assault after a report of a man hitting a woman on the 1300 block of 101st Street. Victim was not injured.  All parties known to each other.


9:50 p.m. - Two 19-year-old males arrested, both males arguing, threatening each other and causing a scene on 106th Street. Several complaints made about both subjects during evening by persons in neighbourhood. Subjects located and taken into custody for the night around midnight. Investigation ongoing. 


10:55 p.m. - Report of a stolen phone, matter relating to ongoing issues between two parties who have recently ended a relationship.


Thursday


2:49 a.m. - Intoxicated male causing problems at a residence, left when police called and not located.


5:29 a.m. - Vehicle parked on Trudeau Street reported to have a damaged window.
