Friday at 10 p.m., the Battlefords RCMP received a complaint of a stabbing at a residence on the Saulteaux First Nation.
An adult male was discovered suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body. The man was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital and later to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, where he remains in stable condition.
Through the course of the investigation a suspect was identified and arrested the same night without issue.
A 20-year-old man has since been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace. He is set to make his first appearance in court on Monday, April 25 at the North Battleford Provincial Court building.
