Parks and Recreation Director Keith Anderson presented an update on Credit Union CUPlex construction. Among the most exciting developments was the steel going up on the field house the previous Friday. The field house is the last of the four components to be constructed.

Progress continues for the other three components.

"It's been a great fall for getting work done," Anderson noted.

There has been adjustment to the expected completion date for the aquatic centre, however. Anderson said the completion is now expected to be delayed three weeks to March 27 because special sound panels need to be installed. Field house completion is expected in July.

Councillor Brad Pattinson said he wanted to see a report back on change orders and what the budgetary implications would be. Anderson said the information could be easily provided.

In other items, Pattinson wanted to know when a burned building located on 100th Street, near where the A&W is located, would be demolished. Fire Chief Pat MacIsaac said he would bring a response back to council.

Councillor Ron Crush asked whether North Battleford should partner with other cities in submitting resolutions for the next Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association convention in 2012. Mayor Hamilton says he will ensure resolutions from North Battleford come forward.
