Stolen vehicles found on Red Pheasant

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 20 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 16 and Thursday, July 17. Among those were two false alarms, three traffic complaints and one municipal bylaw/noise complaint. Wednesday 6:13 a.m.

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 20 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 16 and Thursday, July 17.


Among those were two false alarms, three traffic complaints and one municipal bylaw/noise complaint.


Wednesday


6:13 a.m. - Theft of a 2013 Ford F150 reported from Henderson Drive. A second vehicle reported stolen from Henderson Drive about an hour later. Both vehicles recovered on the Red Pheasant First Nation in the morning. Both vehicles left with keys inside. Two 15-year-old youths have been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000. Both have since been released from custody on several conditions until their first scheduled appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court Sept. 4. The investigation into this and several other matters in continuing and further charges may be pending.


7:43 a.m. - Report of noise/yelling/fighting at a residence on 109th Street. Upon arrival man reported to have been causing problems already gone and patrols for subject negative. Investigation continuing.


8:24 a.m. - 2010 white Ford F150 with Saskatchewan License 8R406 reported stolen from 1900 block of 100th Street overnight. Keys left in vehicle.


1:41 p.m. - White 2000 Ford Focus reported stolen from Clements Drive overnight. Keys believed left in vehicle. Vehicle was located a short distance away and investigation is continuing. This and outstanding stolen vehicle reported at 8:24 a.m. may be linked to two youths arrested earlier in the day.


4:32 p.m. - Response to residential alarm on Cardinal Crescent. Home found with door ajar, cleared by members. Nothing reported missing. 


5:59 p.m. - 41-year-old man arrested for causing a disturbance on 101st Street after report of an intoxicated man stumbling around the area and bothering people.


6:03 p.m. - Single vehicle collision with a sign on Highway 40 on east edge of city. No injuries.


6:45 p.m. - Report of shoplifting at a business on 1000 Block of 101st Street. 24-year-old woman arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 after a second report of her attempting to steal items from a second business at 10:23 p.m.


7:12 p.m. - Minor collision on 2500 block of 98th Street reported between vehicle and a parked vehicle. No injuries.


8:25 p.m. - Report of four persons to be removed from caller's property on Ross Crescent. All four subjects co-operative upon police arrival, one did have an outstanding warrant for arrest that was executed without incident.


8:57 p.m. - 26-year-old man arrested and facing possible charge of theft under $5,000 after being seen jumping a fence and stealing his neighbour's firewood on 103rd Street.


10:53 p.m. - Report of a man and woman fighting on 8th Avenue. Both located, both severely intoxicated. Arguing but no reported violence. 28-year-old woman and 32-year-old man both arrested for being drunk in public and held in custody until sober.


11:02 p.m. - 16-year-old girl has pending charges of failing to comply with an undertaking after a curfew check by members.


11:57 p.m. - 18-year-old man has pending charge of failing to comply with probation and an allegation of failing to comply with conditional sentence order after a curfew check by members.


Thursday


2:32 a.m. - Report of an assault at a home on 800 block of 112th Street. Man reported to have pointed a pistol at the complainant. 27-year-old man was arrested on scene. Pistol was recovered and confirmed to have been a pellet gun. Man remains in custody, charges of pointing a firearm, assault and uttering threats are pending. A 21-year-old man was also arrested on scene, very intoxicated and not wanted at the residence. Investigation ongoing.


5:45 a.m. - Report of a man on 100th Street causing a disturbance, trying to fight people. Subject ran onto some buildings on 101st Street and a short chase ensued. Man attempted to jump off a 25-foot high building and pursuing member was able to grab hold of the subject's extended arms. The man was convinced after a minute or so to assist the members in dragging him back up onto the roof where he was taken into custody without any serious injuries. 20-year-old man remains in custody, charges still pending for mischief, two counts of breach of probation and resisting arrest.
