A restitution payment schedule has been worked out for a former Gold Eagle Casino dealer who pled guilty in a wide-ranging card-cheating case there.
Christopher Stone-Spyglass, who pled guilty to theft over $5,000 from the casino, has agreed to a restitution schedule that, if followed, could see him serve his sentence in the community as a conditional sentence order and avoid going to jail.
Spyglass had agreed to pay back $12,600 to the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority to avoid imposition of a jail sentence. In court April 11, Spyglass was ordered to pay that restitution in increments of $1,000 every two weeks. If the schedule is not followed, he could still end up going to jail.
His first payment is due by his next court date April 25.
Stone-Spyglass was one of seven people charged in the card-cheating case, in which it was alleged he had helped players at the card table gain an advantage and cheat the casino out of thousands of dollars.
Charges against one remaining accused, Ken Mark, are still before the courts.
