Students earn provincial scholarships

Fourteen Grade 12 students from the Living Sky School Division have been awarded General Proficiency Awards by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education.

Fourteen Grade 12 students from the Living Sky School Division have been awarded General Proficiency Awards by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education.

The awards are given annually to students who demonstrate "outstanding academic achievement and are continuing on with post-secondary education."

Earning the $400 awards are Stephanie Shuh and Kelsey Wintonyk of Hafford Central, Amy Klippenstein of Heritage Christian, Johann Wentzel of Luseland, Courtney Baier of Macklin, Justin Gillat and Lucas Smith of Maymont Central, Lee Latimer and Jillian Gruber of McLurg High, Linda Huard of Medstead Central, Taryn Jackson of North Battleford Comprehensive High, Nicholas Allard of Spiritwood High and Alysha Ehnisz and Patricia Stephenson of Unity Comprehensive High.

The students receiving the awards are studying at various universities and colleges in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba.
