Battlefords RCMP responded to 47 calls for service between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13.

Wednesday, Oct. 12

12:04 p.m. - Complaint of a stolen vehicle from residence on Panton Avenue. Investigation ongoing.

1:25 p.m. - Complaint of a break, enter and theft at residence on Sylvan Street in Cochin. Investigation ongoing.

3:05 p.m. - Complaint of Internet fraud using a local business name. Investigation ongoing.

4:55 p.m. - Police and ambulance responded to a report of the sudden death of an 88-year-old North Battleford man. Investigation in conjunction with coroner's office determined death to be accidental and not suspicious.

5:22 p.m. - Complaint of uttering threats in North Battleford. Investigation ongoing.

7:44 p.m. - Complaint of assault on the 1400 block of 11th Street in North Battleford. Nelson Ray Lewis, aged 33, of North Battleford has been charged with assault and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

9:00 p.m. - Complaint of a home invasion involving weapons, robbery and threats at a residence on Red Pheasant First Nation. Immediate police response resulted in the arrest of four suspects, seizure of weapons and the vehicle used. Investigation is ongoing and charges are pending against two adult females and two adult males from Red Pheasant First Nation.

11:21 p.m. - Complaint of assault on the 1800 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford. Charges pending against a 37-year-old Hafford man.

Thursday, Oct. 13

Nothing noteworthy reported after midnight.

Police also responded to two false/nuisance 911 calls, 11 minor disturbance reports, three false alarms, three suspicious persons complaints, eight traffic investigations, one minor property damage complaint, one subject who was arrested for alcohol related offences, one breach of conditions and five minor theft or shoplifting complaints.
