Michael Kozey couldn't believe his eyes when he saw he had won $134,920.90 on his Lotto 6/49 ticket.
The Macklin man matched five main numbers and the bonus to win on the Oct. 5 draw.
Kozey bought his $19 quick pick ticket - with six selections and one extra - from North Park Gas-up on Highway 14 in Macklin.
Following the draw, he checked his tickets as usual at the self-serve ticket checker in the same store where he'd purchased his ticket. Michael's ticket also won a free play and a $2 prize on the extra.
"I saw a bunch of numbers, but I didn't think I was reading it right," Kozey remembered. "I took it to another store and gave it to the clerk to check for me."
"When I heard the winning noise from the terminal, I was in shock!" he said.
