Suspicious person a meter reader

Battlefords RCMP responded to more then 24 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23. Those calls included one false alarm and one false/nuisance 911 call. Wednesday 7:06 a.m. - Hit and run.

Battlefords RCMP responded to more then 24 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23.


Those calls included one false alarm and one false/nuisance 911 call.


Wednesday


7:06 a.m. - Hit and run. Vehicle parked on Trudeau Street overnight struck by unknown vehicle.


8:10 a.m. - Report of a suspicious person prowling on private property. Found to be a meter reader.


1:26 p.m. - Report of an assault that occurred several weeks prior on 109th Street.


2:20 p.m. - Minor two-vehicle collision on 100th Street. No injuries and minimal damage to both vehicles. No charges pursued.


3:40 p.m. - Two youth reported unlawfully at large from detention facility. 14 and 15-year-old youth both facing new charges. Both arrested later in evening in the city.


5:24 p.m. - Theft of a cell phone reported from 101st Street. Later recovered from suspect and returned to owner. No charges pursued as per wishes of complainant.


7:06 p.m. - Report of unwanted and intoxicated guest at a residence on 110th Street. 26-year-old man arrested for mischief and held in custody until sober.


10:03 p.m. - Report of a man under conditions not to be at a residence or in contact with a person was violating conditions. Members attended to residence on 101st Street and arrested a 31-year-old man now facing two counts of failing to Comply with an undertaking.


Thursday


12:00 a.m. - Sexual assault reported. Occurrence dating three weeks earlier. Investigation ongoing.


1:05 a.m. - 60-year-old male suspended 24 hours for driving over .04.
