Between 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 and 6 a.m. Friday, Jan 17, approximately 20 calls for service/occurrences were reported to RCMP in North Battleford. Three alarms were responded to, there were two false/nuisance 911 calls and several erratic/dangerous driving complaints.
Thursday
9:15 a.m. - Report of threats being made towards complainant to have person(s) assault them.Issue surrounding a breakup between complainant and suspect.
11:26 a.m. - Vehicle parked on Kramer Place damaged, steering column tampered with.
2:56 p.m. - Report of harassing phone calls and text messages.Investigation ongoing.
5:15 p.m. - Hit and run reported on 15th Avenue. Vehicle reported to have been sideswiped by another vehicle, which failed to remain at scene. Complainant not injured but there is damage to vehicle. Possible suspect vehicle identified, investigation ongoing.
6:22 p.m. - 21-year-old male arrested on outstanding warrants for assault on 101st Street by patrolling members.
Friday
12:27 a.m. - Suspicious male yelling outside on 110th Street. Unknown direction of travel. Patrols negative.
3:57 a.m. - 911 call of a break in enter to a residence on the 900 block of 110th Street. Members arrived on scene, suspect had fled. It was learned the suspect had earlier been at the residence drinking and left after being asked to leave. A short time later he returned, forced his way into the residence and is alleged to havestruck the occupant with a broom handle. Members later located the suspect on 11th Avenue and he was arrested without incident. 30-year-old male remains in custody, charges of assault with a weapon and break and enter are still pending.
