On Oct. 12 [1987], one of the Pool elevators in the Village of Bjorkdale was demolished. Pool agent Dennis Scutchings told the Recorder that the structure was originally built in 1928. The elevator became expendable as the Pool remodelled their other facility in the village.

Demolition was carried out by McPhaden Building Movers of Ridgedale.

The Pool’s other facility was built in 1959 by the Federal Grain Company. It was purchased some years ago by the Pool. Renovations at a cost of $613,500 were made to the structure and it was officially reopened in March of this year.
